Leeds Law Society, in association with Zenith Chambers and Pinsent Masons, are pleased to announce that they will holding a seminar on Thursday 2nd May focusing on LGBT+ families.
 
Given by Marisa Allman and Nicola Phillipson TEP the seminar entitled “Who’s the Daddy”, will look at parentage by donor conception and the implications for probate and inheritance.
 
As this is set to be an interesting and insightful evening, it is anticipated that places for the event will be in high demand therefore please book early to avoid disappointment.
 
Marisa Allman is joint head of the Family Team at Zenith Chambers. She has developed a niche practice in fertility law and surrogacy and is co-author of “Children and Same Sex Families: A Legal Handbook” which is aimed at family lawyers, professionals and people in same sex relationships (published by Jordan Publishing in March 2012). She continues to train solicitors around the country in this area, as well as acting in a number of high profile cases.
 
Nicola Phillipson TEP  is recognised as a Leading Junior by the Legal 500 for her chancery practice which includes; Contentious Probate and Inheritance, Housing, and Civil Litigation. Nicola also acts in cases where one of the parties lacks capacity, and any associated litigation in the Court of Protection. Nicola sits as a Deputy District Judge and is a full member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners).”
